Fireplace surrounds
A fireplace surround from Valmont is millwork built around the appliance: a mantel and panelled chimney breast, a slab of stone, or a full wall with the television above and storage either side. The opening is drawn to the fireplace supplier's clearances, and the surround is built and finished in the shop.

Measure, draw, quote, build, install.

We need the fireplace model before drawings; the clearances set everything. At the measure we locate the gas or electrical feed and the hearth, and photograph the existing breast.
The rendering shows the surround with the fire on. The surround is built and finished in the shop in [n] weeks and installed in a day or two; stone is templated once the millwork is set.

Can wood millwork go around a fireplace?
Yes, outside the clearances the manufacturer sets. Non-combustible material fills the zone closest to the opening, and the millwork starts beyond it. We build to the model number, not to a rule of thumb. [Kam confirms clearance requirements with the supplier.]
Do you supply the fireplace?
No. You or your contractor choose and supply the unit; we draw the surround around its specification. [Kam confirms whether Valmont coordinates fireplace supply.]
Can you replace a dated surround without touching the fireplace?
Often, yes. If the unit stays, the new surround is built to the same clearances and the old facing comes off first. We check at the measure whether the existing hearth and framing can stay.
Stone or painted panel?
Stone reads as the room's centre and asks for a fabricator; a painted or veneered panel matches the millwork around it and costs less to change later. The rendering shows both in your room if you want to compare.
