A custom vanity is built to the width you have rather than the width a store carries, and it is drawn around the plumbing before it is cut. Valmont sets the drawer boxes to clear the trap, machines the pulls into the door where you want a clean face, and finishes every part in our own shop. Stone is templated after the boxes are set and level.

Measure, draw, quote, build, install.
The five steps in full, with the walkthrough you see before we build.
Step 01 is a measure with the plumbing in view. We record the rough-in height, the trap position, the wall condition and the door swing, and ask which tap and bowl you are using. Step 02 is elevations plus a photorealistic rendering, usually inside [n] days, with the sink and tap drawn where they will actually land.
Step 03 is the itemized quote. Step 04 is shop build: boxes cut and edged, drawer boxes notched to the trap, doors finished, and the whole vanity dry-fitted on the bench so the reveals are set before it moves. A floating vanity is built with a finished underside because it will be seen. Shop time is [n] weeks.
Step 05 is install. Blocking is checked, the cabinet is levelled and fixed, and the fronts are adjusted. The stone fabricator templates against the set cabinet rather than against a drawing, so the top matches the wall. Install is [n] days, with the stone following on the fabricator's own schedule.

Can I keep the existing plumbing rough-in?
Often yes, and we design around it. We record the rough-in height and trap position at the measure and notch the drawer boxes to clear it. If you want a full-height drawer bank, the plumber may need to move the rough-in before we deliver.
Who supplies the stone top?
The fabricator templates after our boxes are set and level, which is the only way to get the top tight to an out-of-square wall. [Kam confirms whether Valmont coordinates the fabricator or the top comes through your contractor.]
Is a floating vanity strong enough for a stone top?
Yes, when the blocking is right. Floating cabinets fix into solid blocking in the wall, which needs to be in place before the drywall closes. We flag the blocking height at step 02 so the framer or contractor can set it in time.
How do integrated pulls work on a vanity?
The pull is machined into the door or drawer front itself, so there is no hardware to catch a towel and nothing to clean around. It suits a slab front in paint or veneer. On a fluted door we usually recommend a rail instead.
Will the finish stand up to a bathroom?
The doors are sprayed and cured in our shop rather than brushed on site, which gives a harder film than a site finish. Keep water off the toe area and wipe spills at the sink edge. [Kam confirms the finish warranty term.]
