Vanities in Whitchurch-Stouffville

Most driveways here take a delivery truck, and installs load through a front door or garage rather than a stair or elevator. We measure the rough-in and the wall, build and finish the vanity in our shop, then set and level it on site so the stone can be templated against the real cabinet. A custom vanity is built to the width you have and drawn around the plumbing, floating on wall blocking or standing as a furniture piece.

Whitchurch-Stouffville, on the ground.

Whitchurch-Stouffville pairs an older core near Main Street with newer subdivisions where main floor ceilings run 9 ft. Older bathrooms tend to be narrow with the rough-in already fixed, while newer builds offer a wider wall and room for a double bowl. Kitchens and islands lead the list in Stouffville, followed by laundry rooms, mudrooms and closet build-outs.

Work near the older streets in Stouffville meets plaster walls and out of square openings, so we allow for scribing on every run that touches a wall.

DriverWhat we look at
Floating or furniture styleA floating vanity needs blocking in the wall and a finished underside; a furniture-style piece adds legs and a plinth.
Sink and tap choiceAn undermount bowl, a vessel or a moulded top each change the cabinet, and a wall-mounted tap moves the plumbing before the boxes are built.
Drawers around the plumbingNotched drawer boxes take shop time that a door and a fixed shelf do not.
Finish and door detailA slab door in paint is quicker than fluting, a mitred rail or a machined integrated pull.

The quote is written line by line off the drawings, with the cabinet, the hardware and the stone shown separately so you can see where the money sits.

Vanities questions from Stouffville

Asked before the first call.

Can you replace a vanity without retiling the Stouffville bathroom?

Usually yes, if the new cabinet covers the same footprint or more. We measure the tile edges and the existing plinth line at step 01 and size the piece so no bare floor or unfinished tile is left showing.

How long is a bathroom out of use?

Only for the install and the stone. The cabinet goes in and is levelled in [n] days, the fabricator templates afterwards, and the top is fitted on their return. Your plumber reconnects once the stone is in.

The builder put in a plain island. Can you replace just that?

Yes. An island on its own is a normal job for us. We measure the existing rough-ins for water, waste and power, draw the new box around them, and either match or replace the perimeter finish depending on what you want. Countertop and appliance changes are quoted as separate lines.

How long before we see a drawing?

Step two of every project is elevations plus a photorealistic 3D rendering, so you see the real thing before you commit. It follows the measure appointment by [n] business days. Changes at that stage are expected and easy to make. Once you sign off, the drawings go to the shop and the cut list is locked.
