Kitchens and millwork made to the millimetre, shown to you in 3D before a board is cut.
We build the cabinet the room asks for, not the one the catalogue has.
Every box, door and drawer front is cut, edged and finished in our own shop, so a 21-inch gap gets a 21-inch cabinet. You see the finished room in a photorealistic rendering before you sign, and the quote you sign is itemized to the last pull.

Waterfall mitre, detailA kitchen is forty decisions. We make them with you, in order.
Layout first, then storage, then the door, then the finish, then the hardware. The drawing carries every decision so nothing is left to the install day. [Kam supplies two sentences on the kitchen work he wants to be known for.]

Straight answers, before the first call.
Do you build the cabinets yourselves?
Yes. Every box, door and drawer front is cut, edged and finished in our shop in Richmond Hill, then dry-fitted before it goes on the truck. [Kam confirms the shop arrangement and address.]
How long does a custom kitchen take?
[n] weeks from signed drawings to install, then [n] days on site. The install date is written into the quote, and we keep it. [Kam confirms lead time and any on-time guarantee.]
Do you publish prices?
No. Every quote is itemized from your drawings, line by line, and we walk you through it before you sign. What we will do on the first call is tell you plainly whether your budget and your brief fit, so nobody spends an evening on a design that cannot be built for the money.
Can I see the kitchen before you build it?
Yes. Step two of every project is a set of elevations and a photorealistic 3D rendering you can walk around on screen. Change the door, the finish, the pulls or the layout until it is right; nothing is cut until you approve the drawings.
Do you make other rooms besides kitchens?
Yes. Media walls, built-ins, vanities, closets, home offices, mudrooms and full-height feature walls come out of the same shop, drawn the same way.
Where do you work?
Across the Greater Toronto Area: Toronto, Vaughan, Richmond Hill, Markham, Mississauga, Oakville, Brampton, Newmarket, Aurora and Whitby, and every municipality between. We measure, deliver and install with our own crew. [Kam confirms the full service area.]
Is Valmont related to Desire Basements?
Yes. Valmont is the cabinetry and millwork shop behind Desire Basements, the design-build company Kam Oveisy has run in the GTA since 2017. The built kitchens on this page are Desire projects until the first Valmont rooms are photographed. [Kam decides how much of the Desire record Valmont cites.]

What decides the cost of custom millwork in Toronto
The cost of custom millwork is set by how many boxes are built, how the doors and fronts are made, and how hard the room is to fit.
Custom, semi-custom or stock cabinets: which one fits
Stock cabinets come in fixed sizes off a shelf and suit simple, square rooms on a short timeline.
Painted, wood veneer or solid wood doors: how to choose
Painted doors give you any colour and the cleanest lines, and a five piece painted door should have an MDF centre panel so the paint does not crack at the joints.
