Farmhouses and rebuilt farmhouses come with out of square walls, so we scribe. Every gable and filler is cut to the wall it meets, not to the drawing, and the crew brings a scribe rail for the tall runs. Older King houses also carry deep window reveals and stone sills, and those get measured on site after drywall rather than taken from a plan. The shop holds the finish until final measure so the fit is right the first time.
The order of work is the same everywhere we go. Kam meets you, measures and takes notes on how the room is used. Step two is elevations plus a photorealistic 3D rendering, so you see the plinth height, the reveals and the door style before anything is cut. Then the quote, itemized line by line. Boxes, doors and drawer fronts are cut, edged and finished in our shop in Richmond Hill, dry-fitted there, then delivered and installed by our crew.

We are at the end of a long gravel driveway. Can the truck get in?
Usually yes. We ask for a photo of the driveway and of the turning space at the house before delivery day, and we bring the cabinets in on a smaller vehicle if the approach is tight. Wet conditions on gravel can change the plan, so we confirm the route [n] days before we load.
Our farmhouse walls are not straight. Will the cabinets still sit tight?
Yes. Gables and fillers are cut oversized in the shop and scribed to the wall on site. Where a wall leans, we hold the run plumb and take the difference in the scribe instead of tilting the boxes. Countertop templating happens after the cabinets are set, so the stone follows the finished line.
Can you build a mudroom and boot room for a house this far out of town?
Yes, and it is one of the most common requests we get in King. Benches, hooks, drawers for gloves, tall lockers for coats and a section sized for dog gear. We ask how many people come through that door and what they carry, then set the bench height and locker widths around the answer.
