Bathroom vanities are the other steady job, usually a drawer bank each side of a plumbing void. We build the drawer boxes notched around the trap and stack so the drawers still work, rather than giving the whole cabinet over to the pipe. Can you build a wall unit around a mounted television and hide the wires?
Yes. We need the screen size, the bracket type and the position of the outlets and data points, all taken at the measure. Back panels are cut in the shop for the cable runs, and a service gap is left behind the screen so a future bracket change does not mean pulling the unit apart.
There is a bulkhead over the sink in our older Richmond Hill kitchen. Can it come out?
Sometimes. It depends on what is inside: a duct or a plumbing stack can often be rerouted, structure cannot. We open the question at the measure and design for both outcomes, so the cabinetry works whether the bulkhead stays or your contractor removes it before we deliver.
How do you fit a vanity around the existing plumbing?
We measure the drain and supply positions before building. The drawer boxes are notched around the trap and the stack so you keep working drawers instead of a false front. If the plumbing is being moved as part of the job, the new positions are set in the drawings and confirmed before cutting.
