Feature walls in Richmond Hill
Richmond Hill mixes postwar houses with closed kitchens and bulkheads around Yonge and Bayview with newer subdivision and infill houses open to a great room. Older homes bring plaster walls that are rarely plumb and need packing behind the panels, while newer builds give flat drywall and taller ceilings that suit a full-height run. A feature wall is fluted or slat millwork set out so the rhythm lands correctly at both ends, with any door in the wall built from the same panel.

Kitchens, fitted wall units, home offices, walk-in closets and bathroom vanities. We measure the wall and every plate on it, machine and finish the panels in our shop, then install against a checked substrate and hold the shadow gaps constant.

Each wall is quoted on its own line off the setting-out drawing, so the panelling, the concealed door and the returns are all visible as separate items.

Can a feature wall be installed in an occupied Richmond Hill home?
Yes. The machining and finishing happen in our shop, so the site work is fixing panels and adjusting reveals. That keeps the dust and the noise in the room for [n] days rather than across the whole project.
Can the wall carry a television or shelves?
Yes, with blocking behind it. We need the bracket details and the screen size at step 01 so the blocking is drawn in and the panel joints fall where the mount will hide them.
How do you fit a vanity around the existing plumbing?
We measure the drain and supply positions before building. The drawer boxes are notched around the trap and the stack so you keep working drawers instead of a false front. If the plumbing is being moved as part of the job, the new positions are set in the drawings and confirmed before cutting.
Can you build a wall unit around a mounted television and hide the wires?
Yes. We need the screen size, the bracket type and the position of the outlets and data points, all taken at the measure. Back panels are cut in the shop for the cable runs, and a service gap is left behind the screen so a future bracket change does not mean pulling the unit apart.
