Laundry rooms
A laundry room works when the machines, the counter and the storage sit in the right order, and that order comes from the drawings. Valmont builds the run around your machine sizes, sets a folding counter at a comfortable height, and plans the hanging and drying space so wet clothes are not draped over a door. Boxes and fronts are made and finished in our own shop.

Every line in the quote comes from the drawings, so the sink cabinet, the counter and the upper run each stand on their own and can be trimmed before you sign. Read the cost guide.
Measure, draw, quote, build, install.
The five steps in full, with the walkthrough you see before we build.
Step 01 is a measure with the machine model numbers in hand, along with the water, drain, vent and outlet positions. Step 02 returns elevations and a photorealistic rendering, usually inside [n] days, with the machines drawn to their real dimensions so the counter height and door clearances are settled on paper.
Step 03 is an itemized quote. Step 04 is shop build: boxes cut, edged and finished here, the sink base notched for the plumbing, machine panels and fillers made to size, and the run dry-fitted on our bench. Any cabinet lighting is wired before delivery. Shop time on a laundry room is [n] weeks.
Step 05 is install. The crew levels the run, scribes the ends, fits the counter and hangs the fronts, leaving the machine bay to the exact opening. The plumber connects the sink and the machines, and the electrician handles the lighting. Install is [n] days, and stone is templated after the boxes are set.

Why do you need the machine model numbers?
Because published widths do not include the hose, the door swing or the pedestal. The model number tells us the real depth and the clearance the door needs, and those numbers set the opening. Appliance panels always need model numbers before drawings.
What height should the folding counter be?
Over front loaders the machines usually set it, and we build the counter to clear them. Where you have a choice, we work from your standing height so folding does not mean stooping. The section drawing at step 02 shows the number.
Can cabinetry go over a top-loading machine?
Not directly over the lid, since the lid needs to swing clear. We put a shallow shelf or a rail above instead, and move the deep storage to the side. The clearance is drawn to the machine's own dimensions at step 02.
Where does the drying rail go?
Usually under a wall cabinet or inside a tall unit, so damp items hang out of the traffic path. A pull-out rod tucks away when it is not in use and is drawn as its own line so you can decide on it at quote stage.
Can a laundry room be built under a basement bulkhead?
Yes. We measure the underside of the duct and set the upper run below it, or step the cabinets so the bulkhead is boxed into the run and reads as part of the cabinetry rather than an obstruction.
