Vanities in Toronto
A downtown install means either a booked service elevator and loading dock or a narrow front hall and a staircase with a tight turn. We measure the rough-in and the wall, build and finish the vanity in our shop, then set and level it on site so the stone can be templated against the real cabinet. A custom vanity is built to the width you have and drawn around the plumbing, floating on wall blocking or standing as a furniture piece.

Toronto's stock runs from century brick semis with plaster walls and dropped bulkheads to level, square condo suites downtown. Older bathrooms tend to be narrow with the rough-in already fixed, while newer builds offer a wider wall and room for a double bowl. Kitchens and basement millwork lead the work in Toronto, followed by vanities, closets and built-in wall units in the front room.
Cabinetry in Toronto usually has to answer to an older house that has moved, so scribe allowance and site-cut fillers are drawn into the job rather than dealt with on install day.

Can you replace a vanity without retiling the Toronto bathroom?
Usually yes, if the new cabinet covers the same footprint or more. We measure the tile edges and the existing plinth line at step 01 and size the piece so no bare floor or unfinished tile is left showing.
How long is a bathroom out of use?
Only for the install and the stone. The cabinet goes in and is levelled in [n] days, the fabricator templates afterwards, and the top is fitted on their return. Your plumber reconnects once the stone is in.
There is a bulkhead over my kitchen. What happens to the upper cabinets?
Two ways to handle it. We build the uppers to die into the bulkhead with a scribe at the top, or we box the bulkhead into the cabinetry with a matching panel so it reads as part of the run. Both are drawn at your measured ceiling height and shown in the rendering before you choose.
My Toronto semi has walls that are out of square. Can you still fit a straight run?
Yes. We measure the room at floor, counter and upper height, then design in scribe stiles and filler at the walls so the doors and drawer fronts line up even when the plaster does not. The fillers are cut on site during the install rather than in the shop, which is why the same crew that measures does the fitting.
