Built-ins in Oshawa
Driveways are often short and streets near downtown can be narrow, so delivery is planned around where the truck can stop. Boxes are built and finished in the shop, delivered and scribed to the alcove over [n] days. Built-ins are cabinets and shelving fixed to the room, drawn to the walls they sit against and scribed on site.

Oshawa's older core has small kitchens, low basement ceilings and rooms with several doorways, while the north end is newer and larger. Older houses with chimney breasts and alcoves are made for built-ins; newer rooms with flat walls gain a place for them from a run of shelving with a lit centre. Kitchen replacements, pantries, basement bars and closet storage are the regular Oshawa jobs.

Do you build alcove units in Oshawa?
Yes. Alcove built-ins either side of a chimney breast are one of the most common jobs in Oshawa. Each side is measured separately and drawn as a pair.
Are built-ins in Oshawa painted on site?
No. Everything is sprayed in our shop, so the room stays clean and the finish is smoother. Scribe edges are touched up after fitting.
Can you put a bar in a basement with a low ceiling?
Yes, with honest heights. We measure the finished ceiling at its lowest point, set the counter at a working height and keep anything overhead shallow so it does not catch your head. Where the ceiling is very low we drop the upper storage entirely and use a tall unit against an end wall instead.
What if you find something behind the old cabinets?
It happens in older houses: a pipe in the wall, a patch of missing plaster, a chase nobody knew about. We stop, photograph it and tell you what we found before carrying on. Anything that changes the scope is written up as a line and agreed before the work is done, not after.
