Custom closets in Aurora
A custom closet is built to the wall you have, with hanging, shelving and drawer sections set to what you actually own. Aurora has century houses with later back additions in the older core and newer subdivision housing with nine foot main floor ceilings east and north of it. Older houses tend to have narrow, deep closets on a single rod, while newer builds give a wider opening and more height to use above the shelf.

Driveways are deep and garages attached in the newer areas, while the older core has narrower drives and a step up at the back door. We measure the opening, build and dry-fit the unit in our shop, then deliver and install it, scribing the end panels to the wall on site.
Where a Aurora kitchen sits in a later addition, the addition rarely meets the original house square, so the transition is designed as a panelled return rather than a butt joint.

How long does a closet take from measure to install in Aurora?

Can you build into a closet that still has damaged drywall?
Yes, as long as the wall is sound where the cabinets fix. Patching and painting behind the run is easier before we deliver, so we flag anything that needs attention at the measure rather than on install day.
Can you build storage into a second floor laundry room?
Yes. The usual package is a counter across the machine pair, a tall unit beside them for supplies, a rail for hanging and a pull out for the basket. We need the machine model and whether they stack or sit side by side, because that sets the counter height and the door swing.
Do you install in Aurora, or only design and build?
We do all three. The same crew that measures delivers and installs, which is why the boxes match the room. Aurora installs are booked as full days rather than half days because of the drive, so the run goes in over [n] consecutive days instead of visits spread across weeks.
