Custom kitchen cabinets in East York
A custom kitchen is measured, drawn and rendered before a board is cut, then built in our shop and installed by the same crew. East York is small wartime and postwar houses plus Leaside brick, with compact kitchens, low ceilings and the occasional chimney breast mid wall. Older kitchens bring bulkheads, out-of-square corners and plaster to scribe to; newer ones bring long runs, islands and ceilings tall enough for two-tier uppers.

Front doors open onto narrow halls and driveways are shared or single width, so boxes are carried in rather than staged outside. We measure to the millimetre, build and dry-fit in the shop, deliver finished boxes and level, scribe and align them on site over [n] days.
Because a East York kitchen is often a single closed room, every decision is a trade between counter and storage, and that trade gets settled in the elevations.

Do you install kitchens in East York yourselves?
Yes. The crew that builds the boxes in our shop delivers and installs them in East York. Nothing is handed to a subcontractor between the drawing and the last door adjustment.
Can I see my East York kitchen before you build it?
Yes. After the measure you get elevations and a photorealistic rendering with your doors, finish and hardware in your own room. Nothing is cut until you approve the drawings.
Can I get a full size fridge into a small kitchen without losing the counter?
Usually, but it has to be settled at the drawing stage. We take the fridge depth with the door on, plus the hinge swing, and set the surround so the door clears the neighbouring cabinet. The counter is then recovered on the opposite wall in a run of drawers rather than lost altogether.
How long is the shop stage after we approve the drawings?
[n] weeks in the shop, then a delivery and install window we book from there. Cutting does not start until the site measurements are confirmed and the appliance specs are in hand, because a late appliance change means recutting a box rather than adjusting one.
