Custom millwork in Uxbridge
Custom millwork is anything built for a specific room that a catalogue cannot supply: built-ins, panelling, feature walls, concealed doors. Kitchens, pantries, mudrooms, library walls and study built-ins are the usual scope in Uxbridge.

Uxbridge pairs a heritage village core with newer houses on acreage across the moraine. Century houses ask for panelling that follows existing trim and scribes to plaster; newer houses ask for feature walls and built-ins that give a plain room a centre. Village streets are narrow and rural driveways are long, so the delivery route is agreed before install day. Panels and boxes are cut and finished in the shop, dry-fitted, then delivered and scribed to your walls and ceilings on site.
Older houses in Uxbridge carry tall baseboards and deep window reveals, so plinth heights and stile widths are set to match them.

Do you take small millwork jobs in Uxbridge?
Yes. A single built-in, a window seat or one panelled wall in Uxbridge goes through the same measure, drawing and shop build as a whole kitchen.
Can millwork in Uxbridge match my kitchen finish?
Yes. If we built the kitchen the finish comes from the same deck and veneer lot. If someone else did, bring a door and we match the colour or species from a sample.
Will new cabinetry look wrong next to our old trim?
It will if the proportions ignore the trim. We take the baseboard height, the casing width and the reveal depth at the measure, then set the plinth and the door stiles to relate to them. On the rendering you see the cabinetry against your actual trim, so that judgement is made before anything is cut.
Can you build a library or a study wall, not only a kitchen?
Yes. Shelving walls, desks, cabinets under shelves and doors on the lower half are regular millwork for us. In older rooms we allow for the wall being out of plumb and the floor running downhill, and we fix the shelving back to structure rather than to plaster alone.
