Feature walls in Brampton
A feature wall is fluted or slat millwork set out so the rhythm lands correctly at both ends, with any door in the wall built from the same panel. Brampton is largely newer subdivision housing with square walls and nine foot main floor ceilings, plus older and smaller houses downtown and in Bramalea. Older homes bring plaster walls that are rarely plumb and need packing behind the panels, while newer builds give flat drywall and taller ceilings that suit a full-height run.

Attached garages and wide driveways make staging easy, and most main floors are a level carry from the door. We measure the wall and every plate on it, machine and finish the panels in our shop, then install against a checked substrate and hold the shadow gaps constant.
Because builder cabinetry in Brampton stops short of the ceiling, the quickest gain in storage is tall units run to the underside of the ceiling with a scribe at the top.

Each wall is quoted on its own line off the setting-out drawing, so the panelling, the concealed door and the returns are all visible as separate items.

Can a feature wall be installed in an occupied Brampton home?
Yes. The machining and finishing happen in our shop, so the site work is fixing panels and adjusting reveals. That keeps the dust and the noise in the room for [n] days rather than across the whole project.
Can the wall carry a television or shelves?
Yes, with blocking behind it. We need the bracket details and the screen size at step 01 so the blocking is drawn in and the panel joints fall where the mount will hide them.
Can you replace the builder kitchen in a newer Brampton house without moving the plumbing?
Usually, yes. If the sink, range and fridge stay where they are, the work is cabinetry and counter only. We hold those positions in the drawings and flag any outlet that has to move for a panelled appliance or an under cabinet light, so the electrician has it in advance rather than on install day.
Our uppers stop about a foot short of the ceiling. Can that space be used?
Yes. Either taller upper cabinets running to the ceiling with a scribe at the top, or a second row of doors above the existing height with a reveal between the two. Both are drawn against your measured ceiling height so you can judge the proportion before anything is ordered.
