Custom millwork in Clarington
Clarington covers Bowmanville, Courtice, Newcastle and Orono, so century main street houses, recent subdivisions and farm houses all sit in one municipality. Century houses ask for panelling that follows existing trim and scribes to plaster; newer houses ask for feature walls and built-ins that give a plain room a centre. Custom millwork is anything built for a specific room that a catalogue cannot supply: built-ins, panelling, feature walls, concealed doors.

Clarington, on the ground.
Kitchens, mudrooms, pantries and laundry rooms make up most of what we build in Clarington. Panels and boxes are cut and finished in the shop, dry-fitted, then delivered and scribed to your walls and ceilings on site.
Houses outside the subdivisions in Clarington are entered from the back or side door, so that room carries the storage load.

No figures published. The drivers, in order.
| Driver | What we look at |
|---|---|
| Square footage of finished face | Millwork is priced by the finished surface and the number of parts behind it. |
| Material and finish | Painted MDF panels sit at one end; sequence-matched walnut and solid fluting at the other. |
| Site conditions | Out-of-square walls, sloped ceilings and bulkheads add scribing and site time. |
| Hidden function | Concealed doors, lighting, drawers behind panels and stone all add parts and trades. |
The number comes from the drawings, line by line. Colour and hardware are the smallest lines on a millwork quote.
Asked before the first call.
Do you take small millwork jobs in Clarington?
Yes. A single built-in, a window seat or one panelled wall in Clarington goes through the same measure, drawing and shop build as a whole kitchen.
Can millwork in Clarington match my kitchen finish?
Yes. If we built the kitchen the finish comes from the same deck and veneer lot. If someone else did, bring a door and we match the colour or species from a sample.
Our house in Bowmanville is a century house. Do you take the trim into account?
Yes. Existing baseboard, casing and any picture rail are measured, then either returned into or scribed around. We will also tell you where the cabinetry looks better if a section of trim comes off and goes back on afterward. Nothing is cut without asking you first. It is a note in the design meeting.
Can we do the kitchen in stages?
You can stage rooms, and many clients do. Staging inside a single kitchen is harder, because the counter is templated once and the appliances need finished openings. If timing is the reason, we usually suggest keeping the kitchen whole and moving another room to a later date. The itemized quote makes that simple to see.
