Clarington covers Bowmanville, Courtice, Newcastle and Orono, so century main street houses, recent subdivisions and farm houses all sit in one municipality. Older homes usually give a back hall or a landing to work with, while newer builds hand over a purpose-built mudroom between the garage and the kitchen. Delivery is straightforward in the subdivisions and planned in advance for rural side roads and long driveways. We measure the entry, build and finish the run in our shop, then deliver, level it on a plinth and scribe the ends to the floor and wall.

Can a mudroom be built into a narrow back hall in Clarington?
Often yes. A shallow run of hooks, a bench and a tall unit at one end works in a hall where full lockers would block the path. We measure the clear width at step 01 and draw the shallowest version that still holds coats and boots.
Do you build around the garage door threshold?
Yes. The threshold, the step and the door swing are recorded at the measure, and the plinth and end panel are drawn to clear them. Nothing is cut until you have seen it in the rendering.
Our house in Bowmanville is a century house. Do you take the trim into account?
Yes. Existing baseboard, casing and any picture rail are measured, then either returned into or scribed around. We will also tell you where the cabinetry looks better if a section of trim comes off and goes back on afterward. Nothing is cut without asking you first. It is a note in the design meeting.
Can we do the kitchen in stages?
You can stage rooms, and many clients do. Staging inside a single kitchen is harder, because the counter is templated once and the appliances need finished openings. If timing is the reason, we usually suggest keeping the kitchen whole and moving another room to a later date. The itemized quote makes that simple to see.
