Mudrooms in Uxbridge
Village streets are narrow and rural driveways are long, so the delivery route is agreed before install day. We measure the entry, build and finish the run in our shop, then deliver, level it on a plinth and scribe the ends to the floor and wall. A mudroom is lockers, a bench and tall storage built to take boots, coats and daily traffic without looking worn in a year.

Uxbridge pairs a heritage village core with newer houses on acreage across the moraine. Older homes usually give a back hall or a landing to work with, while newer builds hand over a purpose-built mudroom between the garage and the kitchen. Can a mudroom be built into a narrow back hall in Uxbridge?
Often yes. A shallow run of hooks, a bench and a tall unit at one end works in a hall where full lockers would block the path. We measure the clear width at step 01 and draw the shallowest version that still holds coats and boots.
Do you build around the garage door threshold?
Yes. The threshold, the step and the door swing are recorded at the measure, and the plinth and end panel are drawn to clear them. Nothing is cut until you have seen it in the rendering.
Can you build a library or a study wall, not only a kitchen?
Yes. Shelving walls, desks, cabinets under shelves and doors on the lower half are regular millwork for us. In older rooms we allow for the wall being out of plumb and the floor running downhill, and we fix the shelving back to structure rather than to plaster alone.
We are outside the village on a rural road. Does that change anything?
Only the logistics. We confirm the driveway, the turning space and the site contact before the truck is loaded, and we ask about the road surface if it has been wet.
