Mudrooms in Ajax
Driveways and attached garages give the crew a clear path, and most installs load in through the garage. We measure the entry, build and finish the run in our shop, then deliver, level it on a plinth and scribe the ends to the floor and wall. A mudroom is lockers, a bench and tall storage built to take boots, coats and daily traffic without looking worn in a year.

Ajax is dominated by subdivision houses from the 1990s onward, with a band of older streets near the lake. Older homes usually give a back hall or a landing to work with, while newer builds hand over a purpose-built mudroom between the garage and the kitchen. Kitchens, tall pantries, laundry rooms and closet fit-outs are the common jobs in Ajax.
Many kitchens in Ajax share the same builder footprint, so the gains come from the corner, the fridge wall and the run under the window.

Can a mudroom be built into a narrow back hall in Ajax?
Often yes. A shallow run of hooks, a bench and a tall unit at one end works in a hall where full lockers would block the path. We measure the clear width at step 01 and draw the shallowest version that still holds coats and boots.
Do you build around the garage door threshold?
Yes. The threshold, the step and the door swing are recorded at the measure, and the plinth and end panel are drawn to clear them. Nothing is cut until you have seen it in the rendering.
How messy is an install day?
The crew puts down floor protection, works from the truck rather than staging boxes through the house, and cleans up at the end of each day. Old cabinets come out first if we are removing them, and offcuts and packaging leave with us. Dust from countertop templating and plumbing belongs to those trades.
Can you match new cabinetry to what we already have?
We can match a painted finish closely and we can match a door profile. Wood grain and older factory finishes are harder, because they change as they age. The honest answer is that a match is easiest when the new work sits in a different room. We tell you at the sample stage which way it will go.
