Feature walls in Burlington
House installs load from the driveway, while condo installs run through a booked service elevator and protected common areas. We measure the wall and every plate on it, machine and finish the panels in our shop, then install against a checked substrate and hold the shadow gaps constant. A feature wall is fluted or slat millwork set out so the rhythm lands correctly at both ends, with any door in the wall built from the same panel.

Burlington holds postwar and older houses in Aldershot and the lakeside neighbourhoods alongside a growing set of downtown condos. Older homes bring plaster walls that are rarely plumb and need packing behind the panels, while newer builds give flat drywall and taller ceilings that suit a full-height run. Kitchens, laundry rooms, closets, media walls and condo millwork are the usual Burlington work.
Condo units in Burlington have fixed bulkheads and concrete or steel stud walls, so anchoring and cabinet depths are settled before the build.

Each wall is quoted on its own line off the setting-out drawing, so the panelling, the concealed door and the returns are all visible as separate items.

Can a feature wall be installed in an occupied Burlington home?
Yes. The machining and finishing happen in our shop, so the site work is fixing panels and adjusting reveals. That keeps the dust and the noise in the room for [n] days rather than across the whole project.
Can the wall carry a television or shelves?
Yes, with blocking behind it. We need the bracket details and the screen size at step 01 so the blocking is drawn in and the panel joints fall where the mount will hide them.
We are taking down a wall in Aldershot. When should you measure?
After the wall is out and the new framing and ceiling are in, then again after drywall if anything moved. Measuring earlier gives us a drawing, not a cut list. Design can start at any point, but the shop does not cut until the final measure is taken on the finished opening.
Can you build a media wall around a fireplace?
Yes. We need the fireplace model and its clearance requirements first, because those set how close any combustible material can sit and where the vent runs. Around that we draw cabinets, shelving and a panelled section for the screen, with cable routes and ventilation for equipment built into the boxes.
