Is the veining real stone?
It depends on the material chosen: natural Calacatta is marble, and quartz and porcelain versions print or cast the pattern. Each behaves differently with heat, acid and stains. We tell you which is on the quote line. [Kam confirms]
Why template after the boxes are set?
Because walls are not straight and floors are not level. The template records the island and the run exactly as they sit, so the stone fits without a wide bead of caulk at the wall.
