Custom millwork in Burlington

Custom millwork is anything built for a specific room that a catalogue cannot supply: built-ins, panelling, feature walls, concealed doors. Burlington holds postwar and older houses in Aldershot and the lakeside neighbourhoods alongside a growing set of downtown condos. Century houses ask for panelling that follows existing trim and scribes to plaster; newer houses ask for feature walls and built-ins that give a plain room a centre.

Custom millwork · Burlington

Burlington, on the ground.

House installs load from the driveway, while condo installs run through a booked service elevator and protected common areas. Panels and boxes are cut and finished in the shop, dry-fitted, then delivered and scribed to your walls and ceilings on site.

Condo units in Burlington have fixed bulkheads and concrete or steel stud walls, so anchoring and cabinet depths are settled before the build.

Material and finishPainted MDF panels sit at one end; sequence-matched walnut and solid fluting at the other.
Site conditionsOut-of-square walls, sloped ceilings and bulkheads add scribing and site time.
Hidden functionConcealed doors, lighting, drawers behind panels and stone all add parts and trades.

Custom millwork questions from Burlington

Asked before the first call.

Do you take small millwork jobs in Burlington?

Yes. A single built-in, a window seat or one panelled wall in Burlington goes through the same measure, drawing and shop build as a whole kitchen.

Can millwork in Burlington match my kitchen finish?

Yes. If we built the kitchen the finish comes from the same deck and veneer lot. If someone else did, bring a door and we match the colour or species from a sample.

Our condo board has rules about renovations. Do you deal with that?

We work to the building's requirements: a booked service elevator, protected common areas, agreed working hours and whatever insurance the property manager asks for. You or your property manager supplies the rules and the approval, and we supply the documents they request. [Typical condo building delivery rules and notice period.]

We are taking down a wall in Aldershot. When should you measure?

After the wall is out and the new framing and ceiling are in, then again after drywall if anything moved. Measuring earlier gives us a drawing, not a cut list. Design can start at any point, but the shop does not cut until the final measure is taken on the finished opening.
