Media walls in Newmarket
Newmarket combines older frame and brick houses with low basements near Main Street and family subdivision housing spread around them. Newer open-plan rooms often need a media wall to give the space a centre; older living rooms usually have a chimney breast the millwork builds around. A media wall holds the television, the fireplace and the equipment in one piece drawn for the room, with the cables inside the millwork.

How long does a media wall take in Newmarket?

Our basement ceiling is low. Is a built-in still worth doing?
Usually, yes, because a low room reads better with storage that stops at one consistent height than with freestanding furniture at four different heights. We set the top of the run under the lowest duct and carry that line across the whole wall, which makes the ceiling look intentional rather than cramped.
